About The Author
Agostino Villani
Dr. Villani is an internationally recognized expert on pain. He maintained his private practice for over 17 years prior to his focusing on the managed care industry. In 2003 he became a principal in Triad Healthcare Inc., a pain managment company, and has succeeded in transforming it into an organization that stands alone in the industry for its innovation and for putting the patient and doctor first.
As President and CEO, Dr. Villani has developed a deep knowledge in the field. He is a sought after speaker on the topic of chronic pain and the state of health care in America, sharing his thoughts and suggestions with audiences, both nationwide and international--including student groups, conferences, and business gatherings.
A firm believer in being an active contributor to the community, he sits on a variety of boards and committees, including as a member of the Clinical Accreditation Committee for URAC and on the Board of the Special Olympics.
His passion for helping others was inspiration for his writing this book.
